Yashinbo!
At KanoKaya, we greet you with Yashinbo—a Shipibo blessing of connection, harmony, and well-being. Rooted in the wisdom of the Amazon, we honor the sacred power of plant medicine, offering transformative healing through ceremonies, integration, and the gifts of Pachamama (Mother Earth).
Our integration teas and tinctures, handcrafted with master plants from the rainforest, help bridge the gap between deep spiritual experiences and daily life, supporting emotional balance, clarity, and heart-centered living. Every offering is infused with reverence for the indigenous traditions that have carried this wisdom for generations. We work directly with the Shipibo, Matses, and Kitchwa tribe leaders to ethically source plant materials with incredible care, ensuring that every ingredient is both sustainable and ecologically preserved.
We believe that reciprocity should be at the core of the work that we do, that's why we've curated a collection of handcrafted artisan goods made by the Matsés tribe, with 100% of proceeds directly supporting infrastructure development, access to safe food and clean water, and the protection of their ancestral lands.
Whether you are seeking healing, transformation, or a deeper connection with nature, Yashinbo—Welcome to KanoKaya, where the spirit of the plants guide the journey.

Joshua S.
Founder / Integration Coach / Medicine Guide
I believe that healing doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to be honest, grounded, and guided with care. After living through childhood trauma and trying every conventional therapy and antidepressant, I finally found lasting transformation through plant medicine. For the past five years, I’ve had the unique opportunity to learn from indigenous leaders, working with psilocybin, ketamine, ayahuasca, master plant dietas, kambo, and 5-MEO-DMT. Now Ive answered the call to help others walk their own paths toward healing, connection, and peace.
My approach honors the traditions of the indigenous wisdom keepers while remaining simple, accessible, and effective for today’s world. I create a safe and respectful space where each person’s journey is honored, without unnecessary ceremony or complexity. My passion lies especially in supporting those healing from religious trauma and individuals in the LGBTQ community.
Before stepping fully into this work, I spent years in animal conservation and global travel, deepening my respect for the interconnectedness of all life and people from all corners of the planet — a respect that infuses every ceremony I guide.
Meet the Plants
The Amazon is teeming with an incredible diverse and untapped ecosystem of medicinal plants that few of us in the west know about. Below are a few of these incredible plants and their uses.
Ayahuma

The Ayahuma tree is revered for its remarkable properties and cultural significance. Its towering presence, often reaching heights of up to 30 meters, is accompanied by a wide canopy that provides ample shade. The tree is notable for its bark and leaves, which have been traditionally used in indigenous medicine for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Infusions made from Ayahuma are believed to help alleviate various ailments, including digestive issues and respiratory problems. In addition to its medicinal benefits, it is a symbol of resilience and harmony, often embodying teachings about the interconnectedness of life. The Ayahuma tree plays a critical role in dealing with childhood trauma, and removing sadness or darkness, thus the Ayahuma tree stands as a testament to the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the region, the strength of its people, and the courage to stand tall.

Chiric Sanango
Chiric Sanango is a powerful master plant traditionally used in Amazonian healing practices. On the physical level, it’s known for supporting the body in times of illness—commonly used to ease symptoms of colds, flu, arthritis, and rheumatic conditions. Its name, "Chiric," refers to the tingling or itchy sensation often experienced after consuming it, which may also come with feelings of lightheadedness or mild disorientation.
Chiric Sanango is not a plant to take lightly—it requires reverence, commitment, and clear intention.
On an energetic or spiritual level, Chiric Sanango is regarded as a teacher that helps restore inner clarity, confidence, and alignment with one’s soul path. It is said to support deep personal empowerment, strengthen self-worth, and foster the ability to act decisively from the heart.
Bobinsana, known as a "heart opener," is a perennial shrub native to the Amazon rainforest, revered for its various medicinal and spiritual benefits. Traditionally used by indigenous tribes, bobinsana is recognized for its ability to enhance mental clarity and emotional well-being. The leaves and stems contain compounds that may alleviate anxiety and depression, promoting a sense of peace and tranquility.
Spiritually, bobinsana is often utilized in shamanic practices, facilitating deep meditation and connection with the divine. The plant is believed to open the heart, fostering love and compassion, while also enhancing intuition and psychic abilities. As an herbal remedy, it is commonly prepared as a tea or tincture, offering both physical healing and spiritual growth, making it a cherished ally in holistic health practices.
